Zăbala
Zăbala commune is located in the northeastern curvature of the Carpathian arc at the foot of the Vrancei Mountains, in the eastern part of Covasna county, 36 km from Sfântu Gheorghe (county seat) and 14 km from Târgu Secuiesc. The nearest town is Covasna, 7 km away. The commune's main resource is its natural setting, climate and geographical location, which represent serious opportunities for tourism. The commune consists of the villages Peteni, Surcea, Tamașfalău and Zăbala (the residence), with an administrative area of 12579 ha and a population of 4510 inhabitants.
