Biovill Ghelința
situated in the eastern part of Covasna County, along the Ghelința stream, the commune and the village of Ghelința, the commune's seat, are located at the western foot of the Bretcu Mountains.
The commune is made up of Harale and Ghelința, with an administrative area of 11,020 ha.

Based on the huge potential of the locality to use renewable resources, mainly biomass, to provide heat and hot water, local people were encouraged to join a pilot project and contribute to the establishment of a bioenergy village.
Ghelința is a pioneer in terms of bioenergy investments and projects, but also an example of best practice in providing energy from renewable sources.
